Shelby County No Kill Mission

Louisville, KY
Kentucky Pets Alive is a 501c3 group that was founded originally founded in 2008 to assist the Shelby County Animal Shelter in becoming and maintaining no kill status. This dedicated group of volunteers provided vaccines, all vetting, spay/neuter clinics, emergency care, foster program and offsite adoption sites/events. We provided leashes, collars, bedding and anything that the animals needed during their stay at the county shelter. After six years based in Shelby County, we expanded our mission/geographic boundaries in order to assist other counties in saving more lives and becoming no kill. We changed our name to reflect this change - we are Kentucky Pets Alive where EVERY LIFE MATTERS!
