Whoops I too must have bought this litter by mistake...I always use the regular Fresh Step Clay Cat Litter, which has always worked wonderfully- no smell, not expensive, easy to buy a large enough bag to last a month. I picked up Fresh Step Extreme, as I couldn't find the regular version in my local Pet Smart, and thought as it said at the top of the bag, that it was "New, improved odor control". Well, it is horrible to say the least. My cat's box is in the laundry room, and since this purchase, every time she uses it, that room along with all the surrounding rooms reek! Not only that, foul odor lasts and worsens if waste is not immediately removed (next to impossible with the urine aspect since it is non-clumping). I am going through this litter purchase rapidly, thinking to myself "new and improved????". Needless to say, I can't wait to get rid of it and go back to my original unimproved brand (stuck with a large bag purchase til then). Hopefully it is still available. Fresh Step - If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!!!!

You changed for the worst I have been using freshstep since I got my first cat over a year ago and way VERY happy with it. In Decemeber of this year I move to South Georgia and adopted two new kittens, naturally I stocked up on fresh step. I frist brought 4 (four) 42lb bags of multi cat scented clumping online at petsmart, my usual type, I was very disappointed, for the first time I had litter box odor despite changing daily four boxes and starting fresh each month, believing I needed to changed I brought 4 more 42 lb bags of the new EXtreme odor control scented again online from petsmart, I'm again even more disappointed, I change all three litter boxes daily but the odor control, and clumping power is not there, even had a contractor complain of cat odor in my house I had clean boxes hours earlier. It like this is not the same litter, it sticks to side of litter boxes, breaks apart, so dusty I have to hold my breath when refilling, I had to read the bag to make sure it was actually fresh step, I plan to ask my vet to recommend something else. I have two more bags left an Im afraid that will end my relationship with freshstep.
My babies wont use anything else! I love this litter. I've tried others but the cats snub their nose at it. If they're happy, then I'm happy!!
Cats love this litter its a little dusty but i can deal with the dust because i have 2 cats and you can't even tell when they go to the bathroom

Extreme has lasting smell The cats seem to like this litter, but it does leave a lasting smell on their paws.

Fresh Step Extreme is SUPER! This is by far, the best litter we have used. Both of my cats fail to cover their "business" up when using the litter box and this helps to control that odor until I am able to clean the box out. I usually clean it once a day, sometimes two if they have been extra busy. So glad we discovered this litter! Great product!
Fresh Step rocks. It is the only cat litter used in my home. I have not used anything but Fresh Step litter in over 10 years. Once in a while I try other litters. Tidy Cats, Scoop Away, Jonny, and many more. Nothing compares. I rate it a 5, and now I even have my family, and friends, using it for their cats. Stick to the litter that works, as long as they keep it as it is.
Fresh Step truly is the best on the market!!!! I've used many different brands but I always come back to Fresh Step. I have 6 cats and I need something that can stand up to them and that is Fresh Step!
Best Cat Litter Ever I love this cat litter! I used another name brand litter since we have had our kitty. I tried your brand by chance to save money. Not only was it cheaper, it has worked better than any litter I have used. No more cleaning the litter box daily! Fresh Step Extreme has saved my and my smelly kitty's relationship!
I LOVE Fresh Step! I love Fresh Step and won't buy any other litter. I have 5 cats in a 400 sq ft efficiency (yeah, I AM the Crazy Cat Lady!) and there may be a lot of cat hair but absolutley NO ODOR from the litter box! That's because of Fresh Step litter....and I'm NOT beng paid to say this!
FreshStep Extreme The FreshStep Extreme Litter is SO hard to scoop out of my litter boxes! It seems to actually use up more of the litter as well and I was finding I was buying more if I used it. Mostly I'd grab it by mistake and wished I had paid way more attention to which type of FreshStep I'd purchase.
Best litter ever I have tried all sorts of cat litter and I have not found one that works until now. I have tried the flushable, organic nothing covers the smell. The first time I used this cat litter I forgot to clean the box for about 1 and a half weeks and normally when I forget the urine in the box is so much that it never clumps together. But this stuff I put my scooper on the side of the box and it came up in one big huge clump and nothing fell back into the box.. AWESOME, no smell what so ever and actually clumps.
Not as Good I bought this product (Unscented/Extreme) when the store didn't have the Scented. It was a mistake!! The product Didn't control the odor and within 3 days I was smelling the litter box. So I had to mix it with the scented in order to have it do what Fresh Step does best ..control odor. I won't buy this product again, because it's a waste of money. I was very disappointed!
its purrfect! This is the absoluetly best litter. i used to use the mulitcat litter until i tried this one day. its perfect my apartment never smells, excellent odor control, and easy to clean due to the clumping quality. over all i would highly recommend this product! i have very happy kitties!
Kitty approved! This is the best litter on the market, paws down. Bought it once and just can't go back now! We use the scoopable (not clay) and after using it a few days, you can really tell a HUGE difference! Great odor control and less dusty than any we've tried. We have 2 kitties and they seem impressed!

Fantastic! I saw the commercials, but couldn't believe it was that good. It's that good. There really doesn't seem to be any odor at all. It even smells better on the cats paws (you know, when they hit the litter box early in the morning, then come paw your cheek to wake you up?)
Fresh Step Extreme This litter works beautifully with my Litter Genie. You really can't tell that my furry buddies are here! They love the litter and have litter fights should I mistakenly purchase another brand. It is a nightmare to clean up after that! I was a breeder and judge for 40+ years and wish this product had been available then. I would have enjoyed the venture so much more....and so would have my kids!!
Completely eliminates odor I am extremely delighted how well Fresh Step stops odors. I ran out and decided to use a less expensive brand, and I am amazed at the difference between them. The 'cheap' brand is full of dust and does NOT eliminate odor whatsoever. I love that Fresh Step has Carbon. I firmly believe its the Carbon that completely eliminates the odor. I LOVE Fresh Step Cat litter and recommend it to everyone I know. My cat Joey was sneezing a lot when I wasn't using Fresh Step and he completely stopped when I started using it again. Yeah for Fresh Step.
Greatest Product Ever! I can't believe that I waited so long to use Fresh Step. I had used another brand for so long, and I thought I would try it. All other cat litters should be off the market. This is the best product all the way around. I am so happy that I tried it. When I am at the store and people are looking at cat litter, I tell them about how I feel about your product. Solved Fussy Cat Litter Problems My vet recommended Fresh Step with carbon, and using an uncovered box to help litter box problems. The litter is great. Clumps well, and really does manage odors. No more incidents of going outside the box. Thanks Fresh Step!
Great for multi-cats I recently switched to this particular Fresh Step product after years of purchasing scented Fresh Step. I much prefer the unscented and it has completely eliminated the odors from the litter box unlike the scented variety. I have 4 indoor cats and 3 boxes and this works great!
Great Litter I used to get the Fresh Step Multi Cat formula (we have four cats) but tried the Extreme when my preferred kind was out of stock. I found this formula cuts odor and clumps much better than the Multi Cat. It is a little dusty when first poured but having a covered cat box helps dust to settle faster and not spread throughout the surrounding air. My four fuzz balls are much happier when using the litter box now that it doesn't stink to high heaven.
TRIED DIDN'T LIKE THIS LITTER. MULTICAT MUCH BETTER FOR MY 2 BABIES. THIS DID NOT CONTROL THE ODOR AS WELL AS THE MULITCAT...AND I SCOOP DAILY.
To dusty This litter works well for my two cats. But when I pour it into the litter pans it throws out a lot of dust. I don't like the dust. I have tried other brands. But, my cats don't like them. I am trying to find one that has no dust.. Is there something that can be done to bring the dust down?
Most AMAZING cat litter I tried this cat litter when my local store was out of the multi-cat kind. I was so PLEASED and how well it eliminates all cat odors coming from the cat box. This really is great litter. I would never consider anything but Fresh Step.
