I've had several cats over my lifetime, and the only little I've found that controls the odor as well as doesn't track all over the house is Fresh Step Clay Litter. Every once in a while I think I can find a cheaper litter, but I'm always disappointed. Even pricier litter isn't as good. Nope, Fresh Step is the one for me and my cat!

Change in scent???? I have been using Fresh Step since 1992 for my 2 persians cats and have been extremely happy with the product. However, this past week I bought a bag of it and both the cat and I noticed that the scent is so strong that you can smell it all around the house. It has permeated Dakota's long fur and she smells like a walking, scented candle. Please tone it back to the way it was!!! Way tooooo perfumey. Thanks! Gale
This is the best! The Fresh Step Clay Non-Clumping Kitty Litter is the absolute best! It smells great, easy to clean and use, doesn't produce as much dust as the clumping kind, and keeps the house smelling great longer than any other kitty litter! Thumbs up for this kitty litter!!! I always recommend this brand to friends and even to strangers I meet in the store. Now if we could just get stores to stock the 40 lb, or even the 35 lb bags - that would be awesome! ~ Nancy
My new Fave litter OMG i absolutly love this litter!!!!! I used to only use scoopable litter and then money got tight so i started buying clay litter and then the other day when I went to buy litter I seen this stuff and decided to try it........ It's truly been one of the best choices i've ever made, especially with having 2 cats!!! Litterbox barely smells bad anymore and you literally forget about it 'cause the house smells like it should and not like a stinky box. My cats love it soooooooooo much that I kept catching my one cat laying in there and sleeping!

Best litter out there I have tried pretty much all the Fresh Step products, but I have always come back to this litter. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this product. It controls odors (2 indoor cats), it does not clump to their paws (like clumping litter), it does not get all over the place (a lid on the litter box conquered their game of scooping it out). My living space has gone from 800 SF to 1700 SF, great litter no matter what size home. Cleaning the litter box takes no time at all. Great product, would recommend it to anyone, especially multi cat owners.
This is the best I have ever used. I haven't had a cat in twenty years but our son gave us a kitten at Christmas. I buy the clay Fresh Step since we got 'our girl' and swear by it. When guests come over they are surprised when they see our cat as they say our house has no trace of litter box smell. I wil be a faithful customer for life!

Two cats in a small apartment I have two cats in a small 1-bedroom apartment and this litter is great at controlling the odors! It's really only smelly when it's time to change the litter. This is great, because I don't really have a spot for the litter box that's truly out of the way. With my two cats, they get a fresh pan every week. They eat dry kibble, and they're very good about drinking their water, so between the two of them a clumping litter would be a waste of money due to how quickly it would get used up. They do track the litter around a bit, but I sweep up and vacuum every few days so it's not much of a problem. It's very easy to sweep up quickly. I have noticed sometimes that one bag might be dustier than another, but that doesn't seem to have affected its performance.
clay litter new formula have always been a loyal fresh step user for the superior odor control. we have 2 cats. the latest few bags have been terrible. it seems there is a "new formula" and it does not work! I will not spend the extra money to buy this product anymore because it does not work any better than the cheap generic. very sad to loose a great product! PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK!
The big Five We have five cats and someone is going to the litter box all the time. It always smells nice in the room. They pretty much have their own room for play and litter box. We have all kinds of condos and toys for them. We just adopted two black kittens and they rule the big guys. There is nothing like a house full of adorable cats. Kathie
Great Cat Litter Prefer non-scoopable, because with 3 cats there was always a trail of "sandy residue" outside the boxes. They still bring some litter out on their paws or just from jumping out of the litter box but the clay litter is easier to sweep up than the fine scoopable litter. My biggest frustration is when I need it and Wal-mart is out of stock for days. Also disappointed that Wal-Mart discontinued carrying the larger bags which were more economical. Great product though and we appreciate the paw points plan. Have received multiple things that we've used.
A little dusty Fresh Step will allways be the best , but when it comes to amonia odor I cant seem to control it unless I throw out all the litter and put fresh. I will still keep buying it.
Life Saver This is the only clay litter we use. Fresh Step non-clumping basically saved our kitten's life. We were using a clumping litter andhe kept getting really sick with URI's and we had no idea why. We took her to the vet and found that the dust and litter was getting lodged into her nose and he recommended that we switch to a non-clumping low dust litter. After trying multiple brands we finally bought the last litter we hadn't tried. We put it in her litter box and within days she was breathing easier! We use Fresh Step non-clumping and mix it with just a little clumping litter for extra odor control and we won't use anything else.
My Kitten I had problem with the whole litter box thing with a kitten that I had recused. It refused to use anything and i cycled through a lot of litter. The information that was provided on the internet in youtube video's suggested me to use Fresh Step. I started using it around the 2 week of getting the kitten and the results were great. Not only did my little Minty began to use the litter box but showed a difference in behavior.
My Cat Loves This Product We have tried clumping versions once or twice, all Fresh Step brand, but my kitty, now 14, does not like it. He won't walk in it and ends up wetting against the side of the pan and it is very hard to remove the clumps there. We always come right back to Fresh Step Clay with carbon. If I remove solid waste before bed each night, and stir the wet waste, in the winter I do not need to replace the litter more than every two weeks. In the summer, it is once a week. Yes, we have little clay "pebbles" on the floor, but it's a small price to pay for the satisfaction for both Tigger and the household. The only thing that is difficult, now that I am 72, is lugging the big bags and trying to tip them for the refill. I seem to find it much easier to buy several 7 pound bags, even though I must pay a bit more, rather than handle that big sack. One user commented here, I noticed, that a strap or something might help. That's an idea to consider. More than anything else, I beg you to never, ever discontinue this product!!!!!
fresh step I have no complaints about this product except that the larger bags are hard to handle. An additional strap or handle on the top would be most welcome.
Dust I have been using the clay fresh step litter since my cat was 6 weeks old, she is now 9. I have used this litter for my previous cat who lived to be 15 years old. I only have one complaint and one concern with your litter and it is dust. My cat digs like she is going to China when she uses the box and the dust is all over the batroom walls, door, pictures etc. I've been very concerned with her breathing in this dust so I have tried other litters but she does not like them. Is there any way that you could eliminate or cut down the dust residue?
This is the best cat litter made. I have been using Fresh Step Clay litter since they didn't make any other (for years). I have changed and bought other brands and my cats and myself do not like the other brands. My cats thank you for this brand!
LOVE IT!! I was a great fan of clumping litter no matter what brand, however as we were ready to leave town I realized we were out of litter so I had to borrow from a friend. Very skeptical I had no other choice but to use the non clumping with carbon. No perfumes, dust, or sticky clumps along the side of the litter box. Cats love and I love it!
Cat won't use other litters My cat is old and finicky and will not use the litter box if I buy other litters. I like it anyway because it absorbs odors better than other litters.
clay KMart was out of my usual Fresh Step clumping litter so I got the Fresh Step clay litter. It is actually working better for my babies than the clumping litter. I would definitely recommend this product and will continue to purchase it rather than the clumping.
It was just okay I was picking up litter for my sweetheart and I couldn't afford the usual clumping litter, so instead I grabbed a giant bag of this clay litter. At first it was alright, but then the smell came in. Of course with new litter there is no smell, but once my cat started using her toilet things went from fresh to worse. It doesn't clump, so the urine filled pieces just linger within the cat box. The sand does well surrounding the feces, but that's about it. The bathroom usually smells horribly of urine even with us cleaning it daily. So I don't think I will buy this again and will stick to the clumping variety. It also took my cat a while to get used to the thick litter, but she used it nonetheless.
I recommend no other I have been recommending this product for many years now. Since I started using this product, they have changed and added more products. But, I have stuck with the original formula. I have tried many other products including the newer Fresh Steps and no other even comes close in comparison. I love this product and will continue to buy it for as long as I live. (Because I will have cats as long as I live) Using this product means not smelling the liter box (even when you forget to clean it).
Foster Kittens I do Foster Care for Kittens and could have up to 8 or so at a time and Fresh Step keeps my Bathroom from smelling. I scoop everyday but don't have to change everyday.
Only thing I use I prefer the non clumping. It works better than any other litter I have tried. I have a Bengal that is a large cat. It works average with the odor but great with the tracking. I have tried others and they just don't compare.
Great odor control I have tried many cat litters, and Fresh Step with Carbon (clay) is the best by far and certainly less dusty than all I've tried. I also have tried other brands thinking I'd find something else just as good and maybe a little cheaper. . .always I'd go back to Fresh Step. Thanks!
Didn't care for During its usage - I had adult friends comment that the litter smelled (when it was clean) and I scoop everyday (sometimes more). Also did not like it as it was much much dustier!
Yay! I have used several types of litter but Fresh Step Clay is the best BY FAR! So much better at controlling odor than any other litters, even the "natural" type litters! Keep it up because both Nala and I are very happy with this product. :)
Best Litter Available I am a cat professional and have tried most litters available commercially. I find Fresh Step clay litter to be the very best clay litter I have ever used. Not only does it control odors, but it also has a very clean scent and is lightweight for a clay litter. I recommend it to people who purchase pets from me.
NICE SMELLING I like the product as it keeps odors at a minimum, however, the little rocks end up all over the place, I'm constantly sweeping and vacuuming.

Accidental purchase became a success We are the proud owners of 4 rescue cats....Robin, Max, Bella and Sophia. My cats are all indoor cats. Bella seemed to have a problem when we brought Sophia home with "going outside the box" the vet and all the books we read said this is normal sometimes with a new addition to the family. We have several litter boxes and did everything the vet and "the books" suggested until one day we thought we found a great buy at a Costco 40 pounds of Fresh Step for $8.79! Wow we thought and giggled about the price until we got home and my husband brought it to my attention that it was Clay and Not Clumping litter....we proceded to use it and WHALA Bella stopped "going outside the box" We love the Clay litter and obviously all 4 of our precious babies love it too!!! As long as you scoop every day and we change the entire liners in every box and disinfect them once a week the smell is very minimal and the waste is much less..........To a great, accidental find to a happy cat owner and "Happy Cats"

Great Product at a Great Price I am not a fan of clumping litters and it's getting harder to find just plain old clay litter. I stumbled upon this brand when I had a warehouse store coupon a few years ago, and this is all I have used since. I love the value, Fresh Scent, absorbency, clean up, and the size of the litter which prevents major kitty paw tracking. My cats love it also.
On to the next one I purchased this as a recommended product. The carbon dust was not as bad as other post stated. But, the biggest dissappointment for me is when I go to scoop the litter box. The urine spots would just fall apart before I even lifted it out of the litter box. Even though he covered his feces after using the litter box, the litter would fall off the feces once I go to scoop it out. The litter did nothing for the odor. I scoop my kitten's litter box 3-4 times a day. If I did not, the smell would be throughout the house.
We love it! I am completely satisfied with this cat litter and will NOT buy any other brand!! I once tried to save some money by purchasing another kind that was on sale and my cat was not happy LOL. Fresh Step is the way to go!
Potty training This litter is great for potty training your kitty since it doesn't clump and practically dissolves in water. It also keeps the bathroom smelling really nice!
this is the best I have used this product for over 10 years and I have to say it is the best litter. My cat loves it. It is virtually odor less and very easy to clean. I would recommend this to anyone getting a new cat.
best on market This litter is simply the best. I had been buying the cheapest store brand i could find. My cats were not happy with it after a few days. When I switched to this litter I couldn't believe the difference. The urine odor was gone, Cleaning was a breeze..no muddy piles at the back of the box. Worth the slightly higher price!
Happy Time I used to hate changing the litter, but now I love the power Fresh Step has to transform the worst litter-box into a cleaner, fresher, environment. The clay masks odors and my kitties get SUPER EXCITED every time a new bag is opened. It's a fun ritual now!

This Clay litter is great stuff! This product has great longlasting characteristics. I have always used it for my cats. The 'Clay' bagged litter that you make is getting harder to find, I hope that you are not planning to discontinue this great stuff..... my cat would not use anything else!
Furry Friends won't use anything else With four cats in my household, we have to be very careful about the litter boxes. So far Fresh Step clay litter is the only one that we have found that all four will use without any problems or mishaps. I like having a house with four cats that smells as though we have none at all.
Clay Litter I have been using FreshStep Clay for many years. My cats in the past to my kitty now love it. I don't like the scoopable as it gets everywhere. This does not. Easy to scoop, no heavy sand. Wish there was more coupons though to purchase bigger bags.
Clay no WAY! Can't wait till payday. This stuff bites. It doesnot last long and it smells quicker and more than the kind of freshstep is our favorite, the clumping kind. My poor son whose chore it is even asked me to try to cover his nose with his shirt it stinks so bad. He does his chores pretty much the same and the clumping kind works alot better. One of the cats too has also been doing their job on our floor more too right in front of the box.
only freshstep believe it or not my cats only will use freshstep. and i truly like it better than the other brands. it covers up the smell better. i have tried other brands and they find somewhere else to go to do there business.
luv it I have had cats for many years, and have tried many types of litter. Fresh step with carbon, unscoopable is the best! I also like that there's no atomic dust cloud in my face when I dump it in! The only thing that could make it better is to offer it in lavender too
Good product I think this is a good product, but I have a hard time finding coupons for fresh step and it tends to cost more then other comparable products.
One of Best Litters I've tried many different brands of cat litter throughout the years and I find Fresh Step to be the best! It has a pleasant smell and does the best job. I use it with a sprinkle of Arm & Hammer Pet Deodorizer and the combination of the two works really well together. People don't complain that my apartment smells like a "litter box"! I don't have to change the box as often as I did with other brands and my cats seem happy!
contents not consistent We buy 2 bags a week, 21lb size(8 cats), one bag may be ok but the other may just be all sand. Not good at all. $7.00-14.00 wasted!
LOVE IT I have three adult cats and 5 kittens in my home. They all use the litter boxes and I have 4 of them. Needless to say I have alot of litter to clean daily and I am surprised at how well this repels odors and the clumping action it gets. That really helps for me to save a bit of money by being able to scoop[ and not have to just dump and refill!
I've been using this for years I simple ove this product. I've been using it fr years and tell everyone to use it.
My cats' favorite I recently tried to gradually switch my cats to a different brand of clumping litter and they showed their satisfaction by peeing and pooping in everyone of our rooms and closets!!! They hated it!! My husband was at his wits end and ready to get rid of them till i realized they were lashing out because they hated the new litter! I switched them back to their usual fresh step clay litter and they are happy campers who use their litter box again. Guess they made the choice clear!! Silly humans
Lightweight clay litter. Although more expensive than other clay litters, it holds odor better, and is much easier to carry to the garbage.
Okay product... It's pretty good but does not block the odor well. My cat loves it, but clumping is a 3. It clumps, but not very well.
Cat Dislikes. I do not know why you changed your product. Have used Fresh Step for all 5 cats I have had over the years. Now, my 12 yr old, says no way - he now does his no. 2 business outside the box. If he does use the box, he does not cover it. The clumping of the urine portion is so wet and obvious on top of the litter, as well as being very dusty. I had to purchase an off brand to get the old type product. Now off to search for something more permanent. Unfortunately, Fresh Step will not be one of them, as pet stores no longer carry the old style. I am not the only customer you are losing as friends and neighbors have agreed with me that you should still offer the older fine-grained product as an alternative.
Absolutely no odor control. Nasty I have used FIRST STEP cat litter for many years. I love the scooping clumping scented litter. This is the one I have always used. Simply love it. I purchased the CLAY litter (non clumping) by mistake. BIG MISTAKE!!!!! I tried to use it for two weeks but when you scoop the box, since it does not clump, most would go back in the littler box. Every two days I would empty the whole box and refill. But every time AttyMae used the box, the odor was unbearable all over the house. I finally threw away the remainder and purchased the Scoopable, clumping litter.
I DO NOT LIKE THIS BRAND Fresh Step litter is usually a good brand however, this kind I cannot say the same thing. My cat does not like it and it does not help eliminate odors. I smell the cat litter as soon as I walk through the door and that is disgusting. I have one kitten that is three and a half months old.

They are awful and contain at least 30% of stinking dust in spite of the fact that you affirm "99% dust free". As I can see you have many bad reviews similar to mine. So I have to change a litter for my cat. Bye, bye.
Love this Cat Litter I have 3 cats and this cat litter does the job. I have noticed that the company has changed the packaging to bags. I personnally like the tubs or the bxes better. The bags are too awkward to handle when pourig the cat litter into the litter box and coming from a recycable home, the other packaging I know what to do with. I realize it takes less packaging to make the bags but I hate throwing this bag in the trash and having it lye around forever in the landfills.

Worry free product I found out about your product for the first time when I visited Costco. For the price and the quantity I decided to use it. But since I open the box I realized that it not only served as a great shield for my cat's litter but also it had a fragrance that made my home feel refresh. I clean it two times a day and that all I need.Worry free, don't have to think about it any more. So it's like having an air freshener in that room. And now that I know I can earn points for using it, its better.
Elderly cats This is, hands down, the best cat litter around. I have two elderly cats and could no longer use scoopable litter because it collects in their paws. The old cats don't clean themselves as well and they aren't as mobile. So I switched to the Fresh Step clay litter and I LOVE it! It controls odor so well, it stands up to four cats and all that traffic. It's affordable, and actually less work than I anticipated. My cats took to it without any problems. Please don't ever stop making this litter. It's the best.
Good litter I love using Fresh Step clay litter! I know using the scoopable is the way to go these days but I have a 17 yo cat and she's been using Fresh Step clay since the day I brought her home when she was 8 weeks old. Cats are finicky by nature and I've always heard you should try and use the same litter if possible and I have. The litter absorbs well and if I change her box 1-2 times a week there is absolutely no odor which I (and my cat!) love! Love it!!
Good for KITTENS This product is safer for kittens as the clumping litter might be digested and become harmful. As long as you clean the litter once a day and mix it you can't even notice the cat box. And I own two kittens in that live in my bedroom! They never leave the room and the litter doesn't bother me a bit.Its really affordable to. It seems to be cheaper at waallmaart then any where else. :)))));
What cats? I love this litter. It absorbs the odor fantastically. I rated it poorly on "clumping" because it is not supposed to clump! :) I recommend this to all of my friends and family!
Clay Litter I have been using the clay litter for years, however, I agree, the DUST is getting worst and gets all over the walls, etc. There must be something that will not harm human or pets to reduce the dust like other litters? If this continues, I too will be going to a different clay brand. Dust is not healthy for me or the cats breathing in. There must be something you can do. Also the string tab to open the bag is useless. Need to improve it.
Clay Litter is best I am very happy with Fresh Step Clay Litter, cause it is easy to clean up and when the little one's get out they don't tract the litter all over the place . I may clean up the bathroom three times per week and the rest of the house is clean and you would not know that I have three cats becasue you can not smell anything. If I use anything other then Fressh Step they will not use the box, they will go on the rug. The carbon, and the elimiate's order is GREAT by me.
Fresh Step Clay Litter I have been using the clay litter for many years and think it's great. I've had up to 5 cats with multiple litter boxes and you would never know we had even 1 cat in the house. (as told by friends, neighbors and family) I now have 1 cat as the others have passed away, and still use this particular clay litter -- it's fantastic! 1 to multiple cats. dusty pretty good odor controll but is dustyer than most.
How do you open the bag? I like your litter and our cats do to. We buy the 40 pound bags of clay litter. Since our two cats each have their own litter box and we like to change frequently we buy a lot. My biggest frustration is when I open a new bag. Is there a technique to this? Even with scissors I have a hard time getting the pull tab to work and it takes a lot of effort to open the bag neatly so it pours smoothly. Have you ever done consumer focus groups on opening this bag?
Best! I've tried several different Cat Litter's, everything from scoopable to clay. Everything except the Sresh Step Clay Litter have made my house smell like kitty litter! I LOVE this and will continue to buy it! Thanks so much!!
What happened???? I have used Fresh Step for years and years. I have been very brand loyal, but the last few batches have been terrible. I would have better luck with shredded newspaper. If you have changed your formula please change it back or I and I'm sure many other WILL switch brands, AND WE WILL NOT BE BACK. In this economy too many companies are lowering the quality of their product to save money, but if you lose your customers it will cost you in the long run. I will give it a couple of more tries but if it does not change I will be looking for a new brand and putting my remarks about your product on all other relevant web sites.
clay litter what happened to the old clay litter? its like pouring dirt into the litter box. i thought i got a few bad batches. if this is the new stuff will have to change brands!
Fresh Step Kitty Litter We have eight inside cats so litter is very important in our household. I've tried nearly all of the packaged litters and used Fresh Step all of the time. However, I don't like the "dust" that comes out of the Fresh Step kitty litter. It gets all over everything and it's hard to clean off the floor. I have to go over my floor three times in order to get all of it. It also gets on the walls. It seems to me something could be done to eliminate the "dust". I had stopped using it sometime last year and have been using Tidy Cat since then. Tidy Cat has a little "dust", but it isn't as bad as the Fresh Step and it works just as well. All of our cats like the Tidy Cat so I have continued with it. After getting a coupon for Fresh Step I decided to try it again and sure enough the "dust" is still there. It would be a perfect kitty litter if it weren't for all of t he black "dust". We use a lot of litter and we were very good customers of Fresh Step, but the "dust" needs to go away before I will ever go back to Fresh Step all the time.
Fresh Step. Clay (Non-Clumping) It works well for my cat, im not big on scooping things out of the littler box, but it's really good for my cat i tried many other cat litter brands and she wasn't really wanting to go in the box, but i got the non clumping and she was comfortable. cats do know what they want, and fresh step makes my cat happy. and it's pretty cheap, so it keeps me happy(:
fresh step cat litter I have 6 cats and i've tried every cat litter, some are good some just ok, I only buy fresh step litter is because I found out that when the litter grains are to big like tidy cat it hurts there paws. cats need soft litter like sand to make it comfortable to stand on the litter. it's just like you wearing no shoes and walking on stones it hurts. I do a lot of research because I love my cats, they will always have the best comfort I can give them, they are my love and they are loved.
My cats rule I have three cats and they like fresh step clay cat litter the best. I have tried many other kinds. I agree with other shoppers that it produces alot of dust. That is a big let down in my book but my cats rule so I continue to buy it and do alot of dusting!
Disappointing I was disappointed with the bag that I purchased. I do not find that it clumps well although it does well at eliminating odors. The cats have not been very impressed and seem to prefer the box with their old litter.

Too much dust I like it for the odor control but I prefer Tidy Cats for Multiple Cats for the low dust.

Clay litter My 2 cats and I love this litter. We've used it for years and it does a great job of odor control; however, I've noticed lately that it is much more dusty. I think you should add some of the crystals to the clay litter, as this would improve on an already good product. I won't use any other brand. I'd also love to see more coupons in the Sunday newspaper ads!
Not a huge fan My cats now have the ability to track the litter all over the house. Product works just fine and less cleaning with clay clumping but .... I think I'll go back to my normal Fresh Step.
Lovin the fresh step!! I have been using the fresh step since i have gotten my cats. And love it! Wouldnt change a thing bout it. The feces get coverd and the urine is a clump and makes it east to scoop. Cant smell any odor at all. My cats seem to like ther litter.
CAT AND I ARE VERY SATISFIED My cat does not like clumping litter. She is very small but healthy so not a lot goes in. At about 5 days she stands outside and looks at me. Time to change because SHE smells it when she digs. Only complain, wish he had less dust. Otherwise, good. Only product she likes,really Hates anything with a scent.
Worth the Extra Money~Pleased for Years Let me start by saying that I have four cats that are sisters and have used fresh step clay litter since they were kittens and they are now 8 years old. The only reason I did not rate odor control as excellent is because of the quanity of cats I have! I go through alot of litter because I don't like the house to smell like I even have cats to a guest when they come in the door. I have to admit I have tried other brands and they just don't control the odor like Fresh Step does, don't waste your time or money! I have also tried clumping litter and my cats hate it because it gets between their pads and they are constantly biting at their paws. Recently, a friend of mind bought me the Fresh Step Crystals. I have just switched over to them (about 2 weeks) and I think I may actually like it better. While it is more expensive, there is no dust and no litter to track on the floor. It is a bit more expensive but if it lasts as long as the clay litter does, I should not be spending any more than what I was and I will have a lot less mess in my "cat room". Whatever "style" of litter you choose, Fresh Step is definitely the best brand out there!

Quality~ Clay Litter It seems like the clay litter isn't what it used to be. Everyone is cutting corners these days but the price is the same. Several bags of the clay litter is just very fine, seems like they have mixed left over scoopable litter with clay litter bagged it and sold it as regular clay litter. It's just not the same texture all the time...these bags upset me for I dont use the clumping litter for a reason, I have noticed the difference and so has my cat. If this continues to happen I will switch brands...the ones that are real fine just don't have enough carbon to take care of odors. It's just cheaper litter quality than what it was in the past!
It's been a great for the first 15 years! We use the clay Fresh Step Litter. My cats are 15 years old. It is the ONLY litter we use. They are very particular about that! I recommend it to anyone and everyone. The odor control is the BEST, there is nothing better.

Spunky's Cat Tales 2011 He likes any kind of litter. He's a little messy when covering up. Mom (me) cleans the litter box out @ least 2-3 times a week. Doesn't smell really @ all. Just have to check alot of times. You don't know how he is feeling that day. What he eats, and all the water he drinks. Can't help caring about my cat, and his ditter box. Thanks!

Nothing Else The title speaks for itself. I too have 7 cats and i love it and so do the kids. I do however throw a little baking soda on the bottom of my boxes for I am a little lazier about getting things scooped and washed. gives me a few extra days. Best-Ever cat litter I have 6 indoor cats and would use nothing but Fresh Step clay litter! All the boxes get scooped out daily and washed out every 4-5 days. I never have cat odors and friends say they can't believe I have 6 cats! Excellent product! My husband and I are hooked!!
It really eliminates odors. I like this litter because the cats like it and it keeps the cat odors down to about nothing. I am irritated with the way the top of the bag is sewed up. Sometimes you can pull the thread and it zips right off. Most times the thread gets stuck in the beginning and will not go anywhere and of course, the bag is made very tough so it's hard to rip it open. Otherwise the litter is great.
great stuff I have used this litter forever. I do not do that scoop thing.....gross I have 2 cats and 2 litter boxes (I keep litter boxes in guarage) I change boxes once every 10-14 days. No smell, no mess. Of course, the boxes aren't in the house and cats have to access them through cat door in laundry room but I think they enjoy making the trip.
Bad Product This product is TERRIBLE, in my estimation. The stench is awful, unless you throw it out and replace it every day. I have used the clumping kind forever and will go back to it. This product is a total DUD and I will never buy it again.
The Clay Litter I do love your products except the one that has clay in it. It is so hard for me since what is in there comes into huge clumps of clay and it is so hard to dig it out and it broke my litter scoop. I really would like a metal and stronger scoop because it can be a hassle when it comes to plastic.

Puuurfect Odor Control I love this new clay litter, it lasts so much longer and clumps together fast. I find we spend less money on our little Papi Chulo because it controls the urine smell. I can change the litter less often! Every little bit helps! & Papi loves it too :)

Clay Cat Litter I can't use the clumping cat litter because my kitty loves to urinate right on the side of the litter box and the clumping makes a terrible mess with this habit. The clay is wonderful and so easy to clean and manages odor beautifully!
I love this cat litter I do rescue for cats and kittens. At this moment I have 16 kittens running in my house. I use the Fresh Step clay litter. I wouldn't use anything else with all the kittens and cats I have. I scoop 2 xs a day and refill if nessary. It is the best ever, no worries of order, dust or mess. I love it.

Upset in Pleasantville, NJ I've used Fresh Step Clay Litter for many years and have always had no less than 4 cats at any given time. This clay litter has always been superior to other brands and has served my needs tremendously. Lately I have been terribly disappointed with this product and after reading some of these reviews I can only conclude that I've gotten a few bad batches of the 40lb. Clay litter. The clay litter was so fine and sandy that I thought I had bought scoopable by mistake. The dust was totally unacceptable. I'm sure your other products are fine and dandy for homes with less than 2 cats. I've tried a few and found them prohibitive in cost and cleanup. My current 6 cats and I love the original formulation of the clay, but if I buy another batch of this so-called clay litter and it's the same as the last 2 sandy, dusty 40lbs, we will be moving on to another brand. Another thing, no suggestions of using an enclosed litter box. All my cats are rescues or once feral and don't use enclosed boxes. This last batch was PKJFJ6YD3C4H LOT:C3 11036 D Recommendations to friends would NOT be forthcoming at this time...
dust, dust and more dust I ususally love fresh step but this product is terribly messy. the dust gets everywhere and ive noticed its easier for the cats to track it through the house.
No More Smelly Litterboxes! I am a Veterinary Technician, so of course I love animals. I love them so much that my husband and I have 8 indoor cats that we have rescued. The other litters that we tried did not control odor at all!! We did a lot of research and finally tried the Fresh Step Clay Litter. It has been amazing!! We used to have to change litterboxes every other day. Since we switched, we only change them once a week and that is even with NO scooping. I am a clean freak and people who visit have said that if they did not physically see the animals, they would never know we had any. I love this cat litter and I recommend it to clients and friends.
Not the same I've used Freshstep clay litter for years and it was great. Now there is so much carbon dust in it that I am forced to wash the box almost every day so it's a total waste of my time and money. Moving on to other brands .

the BEST I have two cats who use the litter box and it never smells, the only thing one time when I buy the bag, the texture will be fine another time it will be a courser texture, which i like best, as the fine is very dusty.
Pretty Good The clay litter is great for odor control. For my two male cats, it is the best thing on the market to keep down the litter box smell. The only issue I have with the clay litter is the black charcoal pieces that give my cats "dirty paws". When they get out of the box, I can see little paw prints from the litter dust. A few years ago the litter did not have the black charcoal looking pieces in it, and I did not have that issue. Also, the clay seems to diffuse into the air and get the mud room where I keep the cats' litter boxes rather dusty. I have to clean the film off the top of everything at least once a week. But, other than that, the litter definitely does it's job.
Please add some crystals to the clay product We have two cats and they love fresh step ... We have tried other products scoopable and both cats will go right outside of the box on the mat . We mix 1/2 clay litter with 1/2 crystals this is a great mix and really controls the odor the clay is great however with the crystals it really controls the odor takes the the product from good to excellent

Fresh Step Clay Litter Really like the litter. Better than a lot of other brands I have tried, but it puts up a cloud of dust when filling the box. It would also be nice if the reward points would accumilate a little faster, I buy a big bag every week and still don't have enough points for a coupon.
Great Product I have 4 cats that just turned a year old. I started with a natural litter, but two of the four didn't like it. So, I changed to Fresh Step, which I had used with a previous cat. The 4 kitties easily accepted the litter; it is easy to clean. I have a sifting litter pan and it is really easy to use with this litter. I recommend this product to anyone!

long time user I love the clay litter. With the clump litter it gets stuck in my cats claws and ends up all over the house, especially my bed. As an older consumer it would be great if the clay came in boxes like the other so it is easier to carry. Al in all we are very satisfied and will continue to use.

Yay!! I have been an avid user of Fresh Step, non clumping brand forever! (I don't like how the clumping brand gets stuck in her claws and sticks to her paws.) I used to have a roommate that would by the competitor (Hint: TC) for her cat. We wanted to see who's brand did the best job at controlling odor. We changed the litter boxes on the same day. About 4 days later she had to change her entire litter box again. Even with scooping out the "prizes" everyday. Plus it seemed like there was more litter in the floor then in the box. I will never switch brands!!! My baby girl loves her litter!
Dirty I have used Fresh Step for years---this is the worst! After I poured it into the box everything around it was filled with carbon dust---including me.! If I have to, I will change brands as I do not like the carbon dirt.
Cheap stuff! Hey, it works in a pinch! It doesn`t clump, boo. It doesn`t smell in the early stages, yay! And the cats are happy I guess cause they have some place to poo. I`d still like to teach them to use the toilet though... :3
best litter Owning a very stinky (read: disgusting) cat, I have tried multiple litter brands trying to save money, but I ALWAYS come back to FreshStep because it's the only one on the market that doesn't cost and arm and a leg and works well. It's dusty, gets everywhere, but if you have a cat these are the things you are required to deal with :)

works to my cats needs and my satisfactory I have two cats Buddy and Angel. Angel is the mother of Buddy, she has has various litters and only one or two of the litters made it. Well they use the litter good for using the restroom, but one time she had her kittens in the fresh litter that I had just put out and it was still usable if I would have scooped the bloody stuff out and all but I dumped it any way, That shows how good Fresh Steps Clay Cat Litter works.
The product has too much dust I have used the clay cat litter with carbon for 9 years since I have had my cat. Since I suffer from asthma, I was initially happy that your product did not have much dust. I realize clay litter has some dust. But in the last few months there is so much dust in the product that I have to wear a mask when I change the litter. Other than the amount of dust I am finding in the product, I am satisfied with it. Sometimes the code number on the bag is hard to read, but this particular bag that I just used was number9WHP7GGYCCX9 lot C310212B. I have tried other Freshstep products but my cat likes the clay best. PLease go back to the way you used to make it. Thanks
purrfect I have two cats that are strictally indoor. This product controlls ordor well and as long i scoop the waste materials out daily this product has a long life of usage. I highly reccomend it to multiple cat families.
Great I started using Fresh step scoopable when I got my cat two years ago then I stopped because my mom moved in and she bought another brand as she didn't see what was so great about fresh step that was a year ago so I had her changing and cleaning the litter boxes EVERYDAY and still the litter boxes stuck so last week I was sick of it and went to walmart and bought this stuff again only I didn't realize until I got home it wasn't the scoopable kind. Well I filled up the litter box anyway and smelled the litter which smells CLEAN unlike tidy cats (even there "clean" multiple cat litter smelled dirty). Their multiple cat litter didn't even cover ANY of the smell it has been a week as of today since I switched back to Fresh step and the only time I smelled the litterbox was when I was emptying it and with 3 cats thats really good. However today I bought a new litter box and the multiple cat scoopable litter so I gave the rest of the bag to my best friend which she mixed in with her other cat litter. I can tell the cats are happy with it as since the switch there has been NO urinating outside of the box.
TRIED AND TRUE CLASSIC I have been using Fresh Step litter for years. I have tried all the rest, including the much more expensive brands and clumping litter. Nothing compares to Fresh Step Clay for ordor control and my cats actually prefer it.
No Reward Codes Purchased 2 bags of Clay Litter - 35 lb bags The bags were supposed to have a Reward Code stamped on the yellow banner on the back of the bag. The cats didn't like the clay litter - so switched back to scoopable. Checked the inside & outside of the bags and no Reward Codes. UPC-044600020303 . Donated the 2 bags of litter to Animal Welfare. tracking this litter is only found on the litter mat in front of the box and in the box!! I love it! My cats don't get it stuck to their paws either! My guests don't realize I have cats until they see the food dishes and/or a cat.
Not my cats favorite! My cat hardly used his liter when i first bought this product. It was a waste of my money, i should have just stick with our original that we always buy
Too much carbon I have used Fresh Step for over 20 yrs. but in the past three years, I have noticed that some of the bags seem to be very dark in content and when this happens, my cat's paws become dirty in appearance and I'm hoping this excess doesn't get into my carpets, etc.. I'm not sure of your manufacturing process or your Q.C. but for me, this excess carbon is becoming a problem. I do hope you have a solution.

At Least It's Cheap:) Fresh Step Clay litter is among the best out there as far as clay goes, but I have found the crystals to be much better for odor control and my cats prefer it over clay. But hey, you can't beat the price of clay litter...it is more cost effective. If you don't live in a small place where the litter box can be hidden and odor is not an issue than this is a great choice.
Easy to use Hello, This product is convenient and very easy to use. My cat loves to dig into his litter and always comes out smelling fresh and clean with Fresh Step. We have used other litter products, they do not work as well as Fresh Step. We have also used the freshening products, they work very well too. We love Fresh Step products. Thank you.

Fresh Step is the Best! My 10 year old cat was having his share of litter box issues. Switched to Fresh Step Clay and haven't had a problem since! Also minimal odor, if any. Nice scent. Lighter than conventional clay making the litter box change and disposal much easier. I did purchase the scoopable first, which worked fine and they used it, but I preferred the clay and my cats are very happy with it.

I love it I love this product. I am one that does not like to scoop the litter, and my cats dont like the clumps. So I use the clay litter. I have never had issues with the smell. I usually dump the whole box every 4 days. I have two cats male and female and both are fixed. With other litters I have always had odor the next day. Even when dumping the box the urine smell is minimal. I went on vacation for a week last year. The box was a fresh change when I left. I came home with a very full box, but there was very minimal smell as well.. I would recommend this product to anyone that has cats!
Freshstep is the best! I have two cats and find that Freshstep is the best in controlling odor. I would highly recommend Freshstep to mutliple cat homes.
Fresh Step surpasses all other litters I have been using Fresh Step Clay litter for years for my three cats. I have tried other litters but they don't stand up to Fresh Step. I happily recommend this product to anyone who has cats.
We Only Buy Fresh Step We only buy buy Fresh Step because it works better than any other litter we tried. We recently moved, and in this new house there is no good place for the cat box. Believe it or not, it ended up being in our bedroom behind a chair. I never smell it, and I have asked all my friends if they can smell it and they can't. I hate the idea of our house smelling like cat urine, and this works, so it is all we use. GOOD JOB, FRESH STEP!
this product does a good job I have 2 cats and I perfer this product over the scoopable, And I definitely perfer Fresh Step over any other brand, it does a much better job.

You'd Never Know! I use to use cheaper brands. One day, the store was all out of the cheaper brands. I needed litter and I picked up a bag of Fresh Step because the price was reasonable. My daughter always said "Mom, You get what you pay for) Needless to say, I never bought that cheaper brand again..That was about 10 years ago. Clay litter-inexpensive I think this litter is a good option for one cat households. It is inexpensive compared to clumping litter but needs frequent changes if you have multiple cats. My daughter used it for her cat and had no complaints.
to clump or not to clump... that is the issue, living in an apartment i can't have the clumping type as i flush the solids down the toilet and the clay would cause problems. therefore i use the nonclumping, flush the waste and stir up whats left in the box over and over. the ordor control is great and can get a month of use out of each 14# bag, one bag=one box. two monsters =three boxes. everybody stays happy this way.
Amazing! I have to say...I was always a Johnny Cat user from the old days. I prefer non-clumping because I have multiple cats at any given time and just prefer to clean the whole box. The store was out of my usual brand so I tried Fresh Step instead. What a difference! No matter what I tried in the pastI could always smell the urine underlying through all the fresh "scents" litters and powders promised. I lost a third cat almost a year ago so I was used to changing their box constantly. Even with only two cats this last year I didn't notice a difference in that urine smell. Until I bought Fresh Step. I am a new user for life! I foster dogs from time to time which means my kitties get relegated to one room. I used to dread the way it would smell in one day. I don't even notice the box is in the bedroom now. I can change them a little less and the urine doesn't even show throughout the litter. I am so glad I found this product and can now have company over without worrying about the kitty smell. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone and will with all the rescue groups I volunteer with. bagged clay litter I purchased this litter assuming it clumped like the fresh step I usually buy. I cleaned out my litter box and put in then new bag of cat litter. Much to my surprise it did not clump. If left in one spot of the litter box for two or three days it would dig up like concrete in small clumps. The odor was not 1/2 as good as the clumpable kind I had been using. it should have big letters on it that it would not clump.
A must have! I have to use the clay as my coon cats have tufts in-between their toes and the clumping kind hardens between their toes...but is their any way you can cut down on the amount of dust that it has when poured out of the bags??

So-so I picked up a bag vs. bucket. I always use the clumping but I assumed by the packaging colors it was the same product as the bucket. I noted the consistency was different & realized it was CLAY not clumping. I used it anyway and was not impressed. Odor control is good but I missed the clumping action. Also, my cats really kick around in the litter and the tracking of this variety is annoying (big flaky nuggets). I'm definately going back to Fresh Step clumping.

Easy to scoop I bought this initially because it was on sale. I have a bad back so it's easier for me to have non clumping litter as it's not so heavy. It seems to work fine, although the #2 smell lingers for a while, but then it goes away. The price is great as I'm on a serious budget!!! I like this cat litter very much.

I love this cat litter I have 10 cats and 13 litter boxes. I scoop them out twice a day. I cannot afford the sandy clumping type litter, but this litter works very well and I can afford it. Great Litter I have 3 cats and they all like Fresh Step Clay thebest. They do not seem to be fans of clumping litter, so this is perfect for them!
Works for us I have 2 cats and 3 litter boxes; 2 with clumping litter and 1 with clay. They seemed to have figured it out on their own that if they piddle in the clumping and do the other in the clay that it works the best. All boxes need to be cleaned daily or they get finicky about using the box and want to go outside; cats are very clean that way.
Our cat loves this litter! Our cat loves this litter! Ocassionally it will have a bit of odor immediately after he uses it, but it dissipates quickly. We switched his litter to newspaper after we got him declawed and he refused to use it, resulting in him using my house plants.
Basically a Good Litter The standard non-clumping litter controls litter extremely well. I have three cats in the house and you would not know it by the litter box! The only issue I have is the "dust" with the standard litter as one of my cats has urinary tract problems. The price is a concern with the clumping litter.
Not for me My cats dont like this litter I think the pieces are too big for them & they dont seem to like stepping in it. The litter doesnt seem to absorb or stick to much after they leave so the smell lingers longer than I would like. I prefer the clumping litter the best.
Easy I like this liter because it's easy on me. I have one cat and never check the box until it smells. This liter allows us to go 3 weeks before changing it and yes it's a large box.

Love Fresh Step Clay Litter I have two cats and they love the Fresh Step clay litter. I have tried others including those that advertise for "multi-cat households," but this works the best to eliminate odors and the cats love it.
Fresh Step Clay Litter I have multiple cats in my home, with two separate litter boxes. My son also has a third litter box, but uses a different brand. My cats don't seem to like the Fresh Step as well as his other brand. It keeps their litter box fresh for days before having to change out their litter. I am very happy with this product.
Best litter! I always regret when I buy another brand of litter. Fresh Step lasts longer and smells better than all the rest!
One great product!! Fresh Step is such an easy product to use. The cats love it and have to chek it out as soon as it is freshly poured in the litter pan. One at a time...All 4 of them!! I love it because there is never an odor.
Cat tired clay and didn't seem to like it. I had to change the litter type because it wasn't going even though it wanted to go. It was weird. But I guess we are the same because I don't like using the clay litter for clean ups~ too much work.
Clay litter I tried it and I don't like the clay litter no one can do it right. I do love fresh step's clumping litter though~ If they improve the clumping litter's odor a bit and the breaking of the clumping no one would ever think of clay anymore :)
The Carbon Works I like to use this litter because of it's odor control. I like walking into my house and not being able to smell any litterboxes. The carbon in the litter helps keep the clean smell in my home. With seven indoor cats, odor can accumulate quicker than I like. With this litter, my home smells cleaner longer. Fresh Step has spoiled me from using any other brand. Why take chances when I can use a litter I trust will work every time.
OK, but like crystals better I usually buy the crystals but the store was out so I picked the Clay Cat Litter instead. This product sticks to the cat's paws and I have to vacuum almost daily. However, it does a good job at preventing any bad odors. My cat doesn't seem to care which one I buy. But the crystals stay in the litter pan much better and it clumps better, maiking it easy to clean the litter pan.
Happy Cats I have multiple cats and I only need to use one large litter box and it stays fresh for a week.
My cats favorite My cats love Fresh Step so much they will come in from outside on a nice day to use the litter box. I guess it is the nice smell and they like their box.
Odor Control you Can Count On! My cat and I have tried other litters, but nothing compares with Fresh Step to control odor. At one time, I had three furry friends and could not imagine using anything else.
Great Stuff This is the first Fresh Step variety that I tried many years ago...not sure, but I think it may have been the only variety available at the time. Anyway, it was great and I have stuck with the Fresh Step brand ever since for multiple cats.
picked up by mistake I usually use the crystal that clumps for both of the cats. They don't care for this as they are not evening covering.
I love the product I like this product because of odor control and more of the litter stays in the box instead of the floor.

Quality clay Exists! Clay litters are not the same! For years I thought they were. I thought you had to add baking soda to all of them to get a few more hours of freshness. I use less of Fresh Step, it really works, and it last longer! Days longer!! That means it saves you money, too. That's 'Quality'. And nobody knows I have cats til they meet them.
Cats love it We have 3 cats and they really like this litter. We never have an issue with litter box smell in the house...even in the basement with 3 litter boxes!

Fresh Step tops All! If I am not using the scoopable, I am using the clay litter. With mutliple cats, cleanliness and smell are very important to me. When people come into my home, they cannot believe that cats live here.
The only one my cat likes I have tried all kinds of other litters but I can tell Ellie is not pleased and when she is not pleased she flings litter everywhere and makes a huge mess. It is also the only litter I have used that has pretty much total odor control.
Happy cat My cat is pretty happy with this product. More importantly, I am. He's not too picky with litter, but in my case, I am. I don't like the litters where you have to clean out the urine clumps every day and with this one, the urine sinks to the bottom making for easier daily clean until the time for replacement, which is admittedly a bit messier. And the odor control, while not perfect (is any litter?), it is better than any other I have tried except a few of the wood pulp ones. The problem with the wood pulp ones is that the tracking or ridiculously horrible. With Fresh Step, the tracking is minimal.

so so i have numerous cats so buying litter gets expensive. its pretty cheap where i get it. it does not clump what so ever but my cats hate clumping litter so they are satisfied. however i am not with the odor control. there is none also. all the liquid sinks to the bottom and the other sits on top. i must clean the boxes out twice a day . i prefer clumping but my cats dont

Great for Little Kittens! I volunteer at a Cat Rescue and when fostering litters of small kittens, I only use Fresh Step Clay litter. It is great for controlling odors and is safe for the little kittens to use (clumping litter can cause infections in kittens since they are too teeny to avoid touching the litter and it clumps on their little butts). Highly recommended!
This prouduct is the Best I have tried other brands and very low odor control, had to make a new box every 2 days got expensive. Fresh Step has a really good Ordor control only need to change once a week. Saves you money. Cats love it. I have 2 Cats that use the box and have no smell issues.
happy paws i have 6 indoor cats and clumping litter turns to concrete quickly. i love this non-clumping clay litter! the odor control is fabulous ! if you didn't trip over them, you'd never know i had so many kitties. my only issue with the litter is that it's so light weight, it does tend to fly. but the odor control is so great, i'll put up with some scattered litter.
My Cats' Review My 4 cats will only use this. 2 are almost feral but I put out a kitty litter pan of Fresh Step and they went to it without help. This is also a good product with 2 cats inside. They like it and won't use any other. So, 4 cats vote for this product.
Clay litter, I'd rather not I purchased the litter because it was all the store had left in Fresh Step. I'm afraid I didn't like it at all. The clay litter pieces are too large and I miss the clumping action of my regular Fresh Step. I do think I can use it this winter though, it's good to have cat litter in the trunk in case of ice or getting stuck and needing traction.
This is the best For the people out there who do not like clumping litter. This is by far the best litter you could ever buy. It is unbelieveable the odor control this product accomplishes. It you ever try it you will never use anyother litter again.

First time, every time Found an abandoned 8-week old male kitten back in September; going on 6 months now and he used the Fresh Step clay litter from the beginning; and he is satisfied with how easily he can cover the odor without making a mess. And when he's happy, I'm happy!
this product is great I have two cats and three kids. They have to take turns cleaning the cat boxes and sometimes they forget. But you can't tell because it covers the odors so well. LOVE this cat litter.
No more sticking I have a Himalayan cat and she has very long hair so the clumping cat litter would sometimes stick to her fur. So I decided to switch to the clay litter. It still has the clumping effect without clumping to my cat.
A Step in the Right Direction We are a three cat household. My older cats love Fresh Step cat litter. We have tried many cat litters but our older cats just love this.
My cats favorite!!!!! My cats seem to really like this litter. I have 3 and they r all strong minded individuals. I tried their pans with this and then put another pan beside these and everytime my cats (yes, all 3) would rake around in the clumping and the crystals but they did their business in the clay. It stays fresh smelling for a long time too. That's alway a plus.

Kitties love to dig I have five cats and we buy the fresh step clay. My cats prefer this one to the clumping litter. They like to scratch around their box. It also controls odor too!

SIMPLY THE BEST This is by far the best litter product that we have used for odor control!!!! The odor in the room use to be overpowering when our cat first used her box, but this product controls the odor instantly. Great product Our house dosn't carry the aromona of a dirty litter box by using this great product. My cat is happy because it dosn't stick to his paws. Good My cat's for some reason like to throw this litter everywhere. Comparing to the clumpable litter they actually like this litter pretty well. It is fairly easy to clean. Only downfall is that it doesn't clump well.
Clay litter I use this product for my oldest who is 14. He seems satisfied with it and it works great for him. He's happy with whatever I fill his box with, but this seems to make the difference. Thanks Fresh Step!
Not terrible This clay litter is better than others out on the market but the Scoopable litter is far better than the clay one.

Favorite litter Of al lthe litters, this one is the one that absorbs the most of the bad odors so that they don ot stink up the room. It also doesn't get tracked as far when the cat leaves the box. The only problem that I don't like is how dusty it can be.
Clay all the Way My cat only uses clay litter and this is the best. If it clumping liter it gets stuck in his nose, so it is clay all the way for him.
Satisfied cat Purchased this litter after several generic /store brands just couldn't control the odor. My cat refused to use the litter box again after a few uses. Tried Fresh Step and the cat took to it right away. Never seen such a satisfied look on a cat.

Better than other clay litter I have used Fresh Step Clay Litter a few times, but with having 2 cats I was cleaning it 2 to 3 times a day because I could smell it. I did like the fact that it clumped alot better than any other brand and it has a fairly good ordor control. I have always used the Scoopable Litter and prefer it over any other.
Multicat household Works the best for my multicat household. Both for the cats who have been declawed as well as the non altered.
Stick to clumping litter Pros: No dust. It's nice not to have a cloud of dust in my face every time I pour litter into the box. Cons: Does not clump: Because this litter does not clump, it is incredibly difficult to clean out my cat's litter box. Odor: The odor control of non-clumping litter just isn't the same.
Great odor control but overall, not as good as the scoopable. As far as odor control, this is the best. However, I found the litter to be quite fine, more so that other brands. As a result, my cat tracks it all over the room. Don't have this problem with some of the other Fresh Step products, just the clay non-scoopable litter.
Fresh Step Clay litter works for us. Fresh Step Clay litter works for my cats and me. It's easy to clean. My cats use it and we have never had a problem with the product. Our choice is the 40 lb. bag.

Okay for clay litter This product is really okay if you like clay litter. Used this before switching to scoopable and it worked well. Scoopable is really th way to go though.
Good Litter for the Value I got this litter from a coupon for saving up paw points. And although it didn't clump very well.. It absorbed odor EXTREMELY well!!! If I had to choose between those feline pine things, and this I would definitely use this!!!!

Cat loves to dig his way to China I have 3 cats, they all are very good at keeping the litter box area clean, except Pepper (he has to throw the litter everywhere). People are surprised when they enter my house and find out that I have 3 cats, they always say that there is no evidence of any odor (which makes me happy).

fresh step clay the best I have 13 cats not by choice- people leave them in baskets, Boots knocked at my door about 5years ago and he still lives here, john deere tractor place closed I received Mr. Kittyman from them, Oct. of 2009 I received 4 kittens in a basket only Fred survive, Stormie Baby was born on April 24th when the tornada hit Yazoo City. I've been safeing cats for about 31 years some I bring home; other I try to find good safe homes. I have been using the Fresh Step Clay litter a long time. I don't try other brands because you are the BEST. It clumps for me and very easy for clean ups.

I prefer clumping litter... I accidentally bought the clay litter (I typically use FreshStep clumping litter) but decided to go ahead and give it a try. My two cats liked it fine, but the litter seemed to trail very easily from the litter box to the carpet and I felt like I was constantly cleaning litter everywhere. I also found emptying more difficult. If I needed something to get me by for a day or two, I wouldn't mind using this again, but overall I prefer clumping litter.

Fresh Step Clay Litte I have five kitty cats and I only use fresh step clay litter. People come to my house and don't even know I have cats until they see one. Great Litter Although I don't use this at home (I use the scoopable), occassionally we use this at the no-kill shelter I volunteer for. I always appreciate it when someone donates Fresh Step instead of the cheap stuff. It smells better, lasts longer, is less dusty, and is more attractive. The cats like it too!

The Best for your Cat This is the BEST cat litter we have ever had. First, it definately controls the odor, second the cat loves it. We have tried other litters only to find that we must constantly change the litter, there was always an odor and our cat would cry til we did, even after only one use by him. By far FRESH STEP is the only litter for our family.

Love it! Great litter! My cats "dig" it! My favorite part is that it is so lightweight sicne I have to carry the litter box up and down 2 flights of stairs to change it. It's affordable too!
The ONLY acceptable substitute for clumping litter I could tell the girls ( three felines with attitudes) were disappointed with me. After all. what else does a human have to do? buy & serve food, clean litter boxes, pet & brush on demand and not take up too much space in THEIR queen size bed. But, due to MY poor planning of allowing a SEROUS winter storm two weekends ago; with 38" of snow (Yes, truly 38"), single digit temperatures and average wind speeds around 40MPH, AND the foolishness to run out of clumping litter... Our little neighborhood store had none. Since it had taken me 45 minutes to make the 3 mile trek, I was not about to attempt the 25 mile journey to a grocery store. I purchased the last Fresh Step bag and "rushed" home to do my litter duty. The girls looked at me like I was a complete idiot. Did I not know by now the proper litter? They sniffed and circled. Sighed and turnd their backs on the litterbox, Later that night, in desperation I am certain, it suddenly wasn't so bad. Although acceptable in an emergency, I understand the house rules and will ensure the required reserve inventory of clumping litter is ever on hand.
not a fan My cat and I are not fan's of the clay litter. I tried using it when I brought him home as a kitten. He absolutely hated it and would not go in the box. He is very finicky and wants every little bit of potty scooped out. I found that with the clay, since it is not a clumping litter, that was near impossible. I also did not care for the odor control with the clay litter.

No Tracking Mess! The #1 reason I love this kitty litter is because the size of the pieces - they are big! Every kind of clumping litter I've tried has left a tracking mess all over my floors and counters from the tiny pieces left on my cat's paws. This may not clump, but it does not track! It is also more affordable than clumping litter.
Why try anything else? I have been with Fresh Step for years. I have 4 cats that share 2 litter boxes. It works great! Every now and then I have tried a couple of other brands but then I am reminded why I stick with Fresh Step! I have used both scoopable litter and regular clay. I like both. Fresh Step Clay Litter With two young cats, Fresh Step Clay Litter is the way to go. It does a good job of controlling odor without covering with a perfume. The clay particles stick well to solid waste facilitating cleanup of the litterbox. I'm pleased with this product and would recommend it.

New Clay Litter is Great! I have always used Fresh Step Scoopable litter and loved it. Ran down to a small store one day to get some as I was out & changing the box, they were out and only had this new clay litter, I wasn't happy but bought it anyway and I really like it and am not making trips in to check the box to see if I need to scoop. This clay is wonderful, as it obsorbs the liquid and then you just change when needed.

Satisfied customer We really love this litter - it absorbs liquid waste, so we don't have to scoop it every time our cat uses the restroom. Although it says to change it weekly, we've gotten away with every 2 weeks, and our cat uses it without issue. Since the particles are bigger than clumping litter, it's harder for them to get stuck in her paws and track around the house. We are very satisfied!

The Best of them All I have been using this product for 16 years the age of my eldest cat. I have never switched. My house never smells like cat and the Cats are very happy. That is the most important thing to me.
Great litter for the outside cats Neighborhood cats seem to find my basement when it is time to have their babies. While in the basment, they use the litter box and have taught their babies to use it as well. Once in a while one returns for a visit and a couple have returned to have their babies. None of these cats are mine. I find homes for most, and the others are now fixed, so no more babies!
My Cat and I are not fans The odor control is great and I love the larger bag. This just doesn't work as well for us as the Multiple Cat Clumping litter. Also the odor control is not as good. When I brought this product with us rather than the other kind when we visited my parents they complained. So I won't be using it unless the store is out of the other kind.

Clay Litter It is easy to use and my 9 year old daughter has an easy time cleaning the litter. She is the one responsible for her cat's "stuff" and has had no complaints.

Clay Litter This clay litter controls the odor of urine better than all others I have tried. It has gone grayer in color. I notice that there don't seem to be as many crystals included as there were in the past. However, I still prefer it over all others.

Finiky Princess! Sharing three litter boxes with 2 others just became too much for our finiky Princess. She now demands clay, in the enclosed Florida room, all to herself. She stopped using the scoopable and it wasn't pretty until we tried the clay litter. Ah well, we don't all like progress and as long as she is happy, so are we.
Used When Cats Were Kittens I used this litter when I came home with a kitten, to get them use to a litter box before introducing them into the big boxes with scoopable. I like this Fresh Step Clay Litter for training new kittens, it is clean, fresh and the little ones sometimes play wit the litter and I know it is a great litter that they will be safe!
It's OK My sister picked up the wrong kind (FS yes; clay no). Decided when I ran out to use it the other day. It doesn't clump as nicely as the scoopable 'flavor.' But they cats are still using the box. When I'm out (its a 57# bag) I'll be going back to the FS scoopable.
Easy to clean This is great litter, it clumps very well and is easy to pick up and clean!!
MY CATS ONLY LIKE FRESH STEP I tried a cheaper brand and the cats hated it. Back to Fresh Step! And now they are happy again.

Good stuff I use both the clumping of another brand and the Fresh Step clay litter since I have two cats. I prefer the clay litter because of the odor reduction but I think the cats like the other better. Maybe I should switch to Freshstep clumping?
Best litter around I like this litter the best. I have two cats so the litter box gets a lot of use! They like it, too as it feels "dig-able" to them, like soil. I know it says not to mix it, but I do mix in some of the Crystals - it makes it last longer and keeps the fresh scent for a lot longer. I'm not a fan of the scoopable litter (it's too sandy and the cats don't seem to like it), so this litter is just right for my cats.
Love Me Some Fresh Step! I have four cats sharing a liter box. I never smell it. Better than that, no one else does either! My cats are shy and people are often suprised to find out I have them. WHY? No smelly liter box. Thank you for making an excellent product...
backup litter I was so impressed with our multiple cat scoop-able, the clay litter let us down. It is great for AWAY FROM HOME. I HAVE ONE CAT WHO SNEEZES with the other litter so she like this best.

The Best Litter!!! I'm owned by 5 cats and started using this when I had many more (from fostering). This is the best litter to control the smell. And let me tell you, one brand on the market stinks when the cats urinate! My cats have no problems using it and the clumping is incredibly solid. Of course, with multiple cats, I do clean the box every day. But if I ever miss a day, there is still no scent and I'm just mad at myself for the double duty I've created. The cats again still use the box. Would I suggest this brand of cat litter to anybody if asked - yes isn't my answer, my answer is ABSOLUTELY!!!

Excellent Product I don't use scoopable litter with my cats so I use the standard clay litter. I have to say that this is by far the best clay litter on the market today. I have tried other brands but none have compared to the performance of Fresh Step.
Great Litter It's great litter, but please make your bags more water resistant. Recently went to change the litter and the bottom of the bag spilled out on the concrete. What a mess.
Usually love their litter I usually LOVE Frsh Step's products, but NOT this litter. The waste just smeared on the crystals, it NEVER clumped, and I had to change it soon after. Scoopable and Lavender are much better litters.
I've found nothing better! My cats like it, I like it; what could be better? I have a 9 cat household, and Fresh Step clay meets all my needs. The odor control is excellent. Sometime when Kitties don't complete their job, I just dump a cupfull on top and odor is not a problem. I've used many, many brands of litter in the 40+ years that I've been owned by cats, and Fresh Step clay is all I use now. Thank you for this superior product.
My kitties won't use anything else I can only use Fresh Step clay litter. I have tried cheap bargain brands and my kitties refuse to use the litterbox. Fresh Step is an easy choice. I never have any odor in my house because of the scented clay.
Only one for me I have used Fresh Step Clay Litter for over 20 years, obviously for more than one kitty, and for multiple kitties at the same time. It is my one and only choice because it has always been the best for my kitties. No kitty potty problems in my home.

One & Only Litter My cats use the Freshstep clay litter and love it and so do I! It has great odor control and because I scoop daily I'm able to change their litter once a week! Riley and Erin give it five paw prints!!
Great for small spaces The clay litter is great; there is no litter box smell even though we keep the box in a small bathroom without a window. The only frustrating thing is that my cat manages to track loose granules of litter all over the apartment.
Clay is mostly okay The clay type of litter works well; however, one of my cats has long fur between the pads on his paws. The clay type litter gets in between the pads and he tracks it for about 20 feet from his litter box. It is fine for my short haired (other three) cats.

Clay Litter You get what you pay for with the clay litter. I prefer the clumping power of the scoopable litter, but with the number of cats I have in the household, the clay litter is more cost-efficient.
Alright litter We used this litter for our two cats by accident. We did not realize that the larger bags were not the same as the multiple cat liter that clumps. We LOVE the clumping multiple cat litter. Our cats, however did not seem to like to step on the larger litter. They are still kittens. It did work GREAT though for cleanliness, and odor control. It is just not for our cats, when they were used to Fresh steps multiple cat litter.
FS Clay Litter FS Clay litter is as good if not better than the other brands just not carried at my warehouse club so I've needed to switch to what they carry : Tidy Cat for clay and FS clumping.

Happy cat I have used the clay Fresh Step for a while and my cat is happy and so am I. The few times I bought a cheaper or different brand I noticed they did not control the oder as well and my cat peed on the carpet near his box. Once I got him back to Fresh step he has not peed outsdie his box since. I recommend this liter for any cat.
Great! This is the best clay litter out there! The only litter that I like any better is Fresh Step Crystals ... however, that one is a bit pricey.

Fresh Step Clay litter No perfumy smell. Not much dust. No cat box odor at all. I don't know how, but it lasts twice as long as the store brand of clay litter I was using. If the cats like it, I like it. A very good product.
Love the smell, and if I keep it scooped daily, I can make it last about 2 weeks. Love the products. Will not buy anything else. Cats llove it and so does the other human that lives here.
Clay Litter Seems to be the best that my cat will tolerate. He hated the crystals as did we, for they didn't absorb quickly so his paws stayed wet. But the clay does absorb quickly. He tracks it outside the box all the time and that is a nuisance. I wish this product worked better on male cat urine than it is doing. I cannot let box go over a day with urine in the litter or smell is horrible. For now, we will stick with this product as I don't want to change his box routines too much and cause a urinating issue around the house.
This product is not to great This product leaves a trail after they get out of the litter box and on wet it doesnt clump at all i really have to go through a lot of it with 2 cats

Fresh Step Clay We have 5 cats and this litter seems to work best for us. The cat pans get cleaned out twice each day. Tried many, if not all that are on the market, but keep returning to the Fresh Step Clay.
Worst litter ever My cats hated this litter. After they used it once, the smell wouldn't go away. One of my cats started urinating everywhere. It was a nightmare. We didn't know what to do. We ended up getting rid of the whole box of litter. Please avoid at all costs!

It's ok This product does what it should but it can leave an ash like coating and it don't smell as good as the scoopable. My cat could care less what litter I use as he seems fine with all that I try (still looking for one that's not as dusty and smells good)

Good but not the Best I and my cats prefer the multiple strength litter. This is pretty good on odor, but my cats don't like stepping in it. If it's not cleaned out right away the clumps start breaking apart and the cats won't use their box. It's easier on the pocket book but not the superior product.
My Cat Picked This Litter My 3 girls will not use anything but Fresh Step. They rather make outside the pan then make with anything else in the pan. I rated clumping average because they do not us clumping litter, they hate it. I tried, but they just ended up with it caked on their toes and didn't like it. In a sense my cats should be writing this review since they made the ultimate decision.
Great product I used Fresh Step years ago and the product seems to have gotten even better. I have two cats and one tiny litter box. This litter controls all odors and clean up is a breeze. I clean the box out once a week.

Best Cat litter !!! I have used this for years. I have 5 cats. This is the only litter that has ever worked to help control odor in their litter boxes. This litter last a long time. I keep it scooped and then I change whole boxes about once a week. My cats seem to like it also. Has a great smell when it comes out of the bag. This is the only litter I would recommend with a multi cat house hold, to keep it smelling fresh. Whenever anyone comes they say they can't tell I even own cats. Fresh Step Clay Litter My cats are going to be 9 years old and the only litter I have ever used was Fresh Step clay. I would never change the brand and I am very pleased with the odor control within the litter box.
No clog, no stink! My cat likes it ( to dig in). I like it (because it doesn't smell), & my toilet likes it. The clumping litters clog up my toilet, so this is the best litter for us.

Clay litter a plus Shady likes this type of litter the best. He even lets us know when it needs to be changed. He also "demanded" that we put a second box on the second floor. All is great from the cat's point of view in this house.

Not a bad choice! I currently have a 2 year old cat I've had for over a year and a new kitten (10 weeks). The cat has been using the clumping litter, but for the kittens safety I was advised to use the clay litter. I switched litters and it works just as well. I think it lasts longer and so is more value friendly. I think my 2 year old prefers the clumping litter, but she's using it and it'll do for now. Not sure yet if I'm switching back.
16 Paws in My House love it! I have four cats. The oldest 16 and the youngest 2. They like it and don't want to use other kinds. I have tried through the years new products and always come back to Fresh Step Clay.
Best I have found We all know cleaning the litter box is, in general, NO FUN! This litter is the best I have tried though and it makes the job a bit easier in terms of smell and easiness to clean.

Very happy I am very happy with this product. I have two cats that each have a litter box side by side. Because of the good quality litter, I only have to change their boxes once a week. This product doesn't clump that much which I like.

4 cats and counting I have 4 cats who use the same litter box. Some people think I'm crazy but it is scooped constantly and dumped and washed every third day. I have a fifth cat now but we must give it a little time before we introduce it. Some say one litter box per cat but that is crazy talk in my house.
pretty good I've used this cat litter for the past few years and like it a lot it lasts longer between changes than its competitor brands, i especially like it because i have a busy schedule so i don't always get to change my cats litter box when i would like. It masks odors longer so both my cat and i are happy with it's quality and it doesnt cost too much either, i've noticed it does stick to my cats paws too though like some other cat owners have said and it drives me crazy having to go back and re-vacuum after my cat uses his box. Other than that it is a pretty good product and i plan to keep using it.
It works! This product works, period. It absorbs odor. Disposal is easy. What more could you want? Yes, I have tried clumping products and crystal, but always come back to this one.
Standard clay I have had the best luck with this litter and usually only have to change it once a week. No scooping necessary.
Best Cat Litter on the Market! I love this cat litter. My cats do too. If I buy anything else just to save money, they will not use it. They refuse to use any other litter than Fresh Step. I use the clay litter. It is affordable and it definitely keeps the smell down. In fact it makes it as though there is no smell at all. As Long As He's Happy He likes it and that's what matters. I marked excellent for odor control because it works well for urine. Realistically, I don't believe there's much to to eliminate the instant events of the other stuff. I marked excellent for clumping simply because it is not a feature of my product choice. I don't expect it and won't leave a bad mark for something I don't expect. I think clumping litter is really gross. I empty the box after each deposit. I marked excellent for My Cat's satisfaction because, although he hasn't come right out and said it , he would certainly let me know if he did not!
Didn't like it I only used it once. But the litter didn't clump and the odor was terrible. It was so bad, that my husband had to go into our apartment hall coughing and gasping for air (I'm a little more tolerable than he is to cat feces). My cats didn't seem to care, but they don't about any brand. I went out the same night to buy a different type of litter. I love fresh step, just not the clay

Good Product This is the only cat litter I buy, unless money is super tight, then I resort to WalMart or Kroger brands. It is a bit dusty though.
Not just for cats When I need to take my Cats with me places, I purchase the clay litter as a disposable potty source for my Cats, as always, I use only Fresh Step. HOWEVER, there is more than one use for clay (non-clumping) litter. If I have an oil or coolant spot on my driveway, I sprinkle the litter on it and let it sit for a few days, sweep it up and the spot is gone and the neighborhood kittys don't get a chance to to ingest the toxic liquids!!!
Love this! I have four cats and a litter box that gets changed daily... I could not use anything else but this type of litter due to my cats not liking anything else.... and even my picky female cat that is 13 years old loves it, unless I forget to change it one day- then I get the "outside the litter box" present...
Not so likable to my cats I bought this during an emergency. The store was out of the clumping fresh step. My cats did not seem to like it very much. I found it tended to stick to there feet, thereby leaving a mess on the carpet. It worked well for the odor control. I would use it again in an emergency but I and my cats prefer the clumping litter.

A Great Cat Litter Fresh Step is great at absorbing odors! I have two cats, however, one has only used the litter box for one week when he was sick. ( I also have a pet door through which the cats can come and go as they please.) I only have to change the box and replace it with new Fresh Step once a week. The rest of the week I scoop out the dried waste every night. My female cat and I absolutely love Fresh Step!
Awesome Litter My cat is really picky, and will refuse to use some litter. He loves this one, and I like it too. Its got good odor control and dose not stick to my cats paws and track throughout the house like some litters do.

Multi Cat Family loves Fresh Step I have 5 cats and have used Fresh Step for years now. I've never had any problems. It's very easy to scoop and add fresh litter. I make fresh boxes every other day and all my cats use the boxes and seem very content and happy. I've never used anything else but Fresh Step. I find it reasonably priced and we have no odor issues with the boxes.

Fresh Step Cat Litter I have five cats who like Fresh Seep Cat Litter. I only change the cat litter once a week and scoop up once a week. Occasioally, I cover up, two to three times a week. The BEST Litter ever! I have been using Fresh Step Clay litter for many years. I've tried others, but ALWAYS came back to Fresh Step. Out first cat has "passed on" but we now have a 2 yr old and she is very happy with her litter box. If the store I shop at normally is out of Fresh Step I will go to another store. I usually have several 14 lb bags on hand. I have convinced my daughter, who has two kittens, that htere is NO better litter out there! The Paws Point Program makes it even more worthwhile.
Best clay litter around I currently have 3 cats (had as many as 5 a few years ago). Have gotten NUMEROUS compliments from many cat owners who continue to remark that they don't smell cats, whenever they come over to my house! I LOVE this litter, as much as my cats do! The best out there I don't like clumping litter... That being said, this is the best clay litter I have tried. I have had numerous cats my whole life and always go back to Fresh Step. Plus, with paw Points, I get a free bag every year or so!
Fresh Step Clay Litter is the best There are some issues to me about the new 'upgraded' clay litter: I don't like the black (coal) pieces because it makes my 2 kitties white paws dirty looking, it seems to be a little dustier than before and it doesn't have that 'fresh scent' anymore. However, after trying other brands of litter, including the clumping, I prefer Fresh Step Clay Litter far better.
Best Litter out there The best of the best, is what I say about Fresh Step. My cats (all 5 of them) love this litter, especially the clumping variety, as do I. But even the regular clay litter is a great product for your money. The promotions with pawpoints allow me to redeem them for regular litter, which we then bring to all the local shelters in my area. But, even when I cannot buy my normal clumping litter, I do not hesitate to buy this. It has less dust, and my cats don't hesitate to use it. Great stuff!
My cat hated it... So I use this for my hamster's litter box. He doesn't seem to mind, and only pees in his litter box. Unfortunately, this litter doesn't control the scent of his urine.

Clay Litter Fresh Step Clay Litter is definitely long-lasting. However, it's odor control properties could be improved. My cat enjoys the Clumping LItter a little bit more!

Stays Dry Before Fresh Step, I'd used two other major clay brands for their ability to stay dry and low dust; however, Fresh Step is not only superior in it's ability to absorb moisture and stay dry between box cleanings, it's superior in odor control as well. Fresh Step is five paws all around best litter!

Cat really likes it. I like the clay litter because I can flush it down the toilet. The only thing I don't like about it is that it's dusty. Could be my imagination but it didn't used to seem quite this dusty. Does fairly well on odor control tho too which is a big plus.
Fresh Step Clay Litter for Foster Kittens I have been the foster 'Mom" to over 450 orphaned kittens in the past 8 years. Most of the kittens needed to be bottle fed and many were in poor condition. I like this litter because it is low dust , controls odors and is white so that I can see if there is blood in the urine or stool.

Dont really care for non clumping litter I use clumping litter only so I did not find much satisfaction to this product. but I guess it is good 4 a non clumper.
Love the Clay Our 4 cats love the clay litter, especailly when we mix it with the Multi-cat Scoopable. Angelica, Tigger, Storm and Mollie all share the same box. odor control I like it as there is no smell in the house and the cat tracks very little litter out of the box.
We love your cat litter!!! Our cats and us love Fresh Step. This is the only brand litter that we will buy. If our normal store is out we will keep shopping at different stores until we find it. Clay Litter I find this to be the best product in the stores. I have tried other brands of litter, and this controls odor better than any other. I think my cat agrees.
Fresh Step Clay Liter My cat will not use any other liter. I have switched liters a few times when I wasn't able to get the Fresh Step Clay liter and it was not acceptable to my kitty. Fresh Step works the best to control odor's.
love it! I actually love this litter, it is the only one i buy if i can help it. i have 2 cats and i can never smell and odor from the litterbox. it does not clump well, but it is not made to. it is alot less mess for me than the clumpable litter.
Rated Number 1 by the Masses! There are 13 cats here at Kitty Cottage, ranging from the smallest kitten to our very large males. We have nine, large litter boxes going all the time. Fresh Step Clay Cat Litter far surpasses all of the other cat litters that we have tried over time. It lasts several days longer than any other brand; we love its fresh scent; and the cats just plain love the "feel" of it and love to scratch like crazy in it. We also keep a litter pan outdoors, and our outdoor porch cats love it, too. We just will not use any other cat liter. Fresh Step is the absolute best! And, believe me, we know!!! :-)
Okay for some I am not the biggest fan for the clay litter. Only buy if nothing else is available.
one wet one dry my three "babies" all use one box for the wet business and the other for the solid business. and with each box i do not have any order from either. i find that this product last two weeks! YES two weeks. i do "muck" the solid waste daily i do not find this a chore because the health of my babies are worth it.
Good Cat Litter The odor control is good and my cats seems to like it also, and thats what matter to me.
Good Litter. I like this litter a lot. It is reasonably priced and does a much better job than the cheap brands. I prefer it to clumping litter and I will not switch.
nothing better We use FRESH STEP and only FRESH STEP it's the best there is. We have three cats and only family knows because they never come out when other people are in the house. No one can smell the litter boxes.

Been using for 21+ years.... and I will never change. On occasion I have had to use other brands and I despise them. The Fresh Step clay works so well at covering odors. No one can tell I have have a litter box inside my home. Of course, I change the box everyday, but that's just my way. I feel kitty deserves a fresh box each day. Bottom line, I LOVE this litter and use nothing else.
Love it! Love the clay! Controls odors. Could do without the tracking. But I've yet to find a litter that doesn't track. I can go 1.5-2 weeks before having to change!

Best Litter I can Find I have a house full of cats, and I have tried all the litters out there, Fresh Step really is the only one that can withstand all that urine. I have a box for each cat, and they all have Fresh Step in it.
Best Clay Litter I have tried others to compare with a multiple cat household. No other holds the odor like Fresh Step.
Good for Multi-cat homes Easy to clean. Good for multi-cat home, cannot tell we have several cats! The only litter we have used for over 20 years!
only if i am completely desperate fresh step clay litter is my least favorite. i do not like litter that does not clump, and i think this litter does nothing to cover up the smell, in fact you have to change the litter twice as often, and i noticed my cats paws actually smelled just as bad!! i did notice, if you are using this litter, by adding a box of baking soda in the bottom of the litter box first, then spreading the littter, without mixing the two does help with the smell, as well as, some clumping.

Best Kitty Litter Ever I love this kitty litter, no smell, you can not tell i have 3 kitties. I have been using Fresh Steps for years, I can not find anything better. I have tried others and they do not work as well as Fresh Step, and i know i will have kitties the rest of my life, and i will always use Fresh Step

Best clay litter I have used My cats are very picky and I have tried other litters, but always come back to fresh step because that is the one they seem to like and it does absorb odors well.
Clay Litter Works Great For MultiCat Home We have 6 cats. They share two litter boxes. As often as we walk by the boxes we scoop out the poo poo and flush. Most of the litter does not stick to it, so we have never had problems with the toilet backing up. We can go many days without having to change the litter. There honestly is no smell. We have in our past had many more kitties, and everyone to this day walks into our home and states that it DOES NOT smell like we own cats. We have tried them all in the past, but for the last 10+ years, its Fresh Step for our family and friends. Thanks FRESH STEP! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. this product really does control odors I like the non clumping clay litter better because my cats don't scatter it or carry it on their feet like the smaller clumping pieces. It controls ordor better so I have to change it less often. I don't like the paw points rewards system though, because even when I enter codes off new bags of litter it tells me they are invalid or they are unreadable , so there's no way you can redeem your points for the rewards!
No Odor We have tried many other types of litter and this is our favorite. The two cats love it and there is NO ODOR!!!!!
Fussy felines want the best I have two fussy felines that demand the best. The reason I like fresh step is it does not allow the odor to travel through the house. I have tried other products only to have thrown them out because my two cats will only use Fresh Step. Somehow they know. ^^
best cat litter we have 3 cats and this cat litter works better than any other that we have used. it excells with odor control..would reccomend..
